Udo Voigt nimmt Italiens Präsident gegen die Angst der alten Eliten in Schutz
Das war kein Ruhmesblatt des Europaparlaments: als sich am Dienstag der italienische Ministerpräsident Giuseppe Conte als Gast des Parlaments zu einer Aussprache über die „Zukunft Europas“ in Straßburg einfand, sah er sich anhaltenden und teils unflätigen Anwürfen vonseiten der sogenannten „demokratischen“ Fraktionen ausgesetzt. Ob Linksliberale wie der Belgier Guy Verhofstadt oder „Bürgerliche“ wie der Chef der deutschen Christdemokraten, Manfred Weber – alle fielen unisono über den Gast aus Italien her, dessen Regierung sich wie keine andere für ein Ende des Asylanten-Schlepperunwesens im Mittelmeer einsetzt (und dabei dank des Lega-Innenministers Salvini auch erfreuliche Erfolge verzeichnen kann). Den etablierten Zuwanderungs-Parteien ist dies natürlich ein Dorn im Auge. Am Dienstag ließen sie ihren geballten Haß am italienischen Staatsoberhaupt aus, und Parlamentspräsident Tajani, selbst Italiener, mußte seine wutschnaubenden Kollegen mehr als einmal zur Mäßigung mahnen.
With festivities around the country, Iran commemorated over the past days the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. On February 11, 1979, the end of the monarchy was proclaimed, and a month later the Islamic Republic was founded under its first leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who had prepared the overthrow of the Shah regime from his exile in France. In a jubilee address in Tehran, Iranian President Rouhani invoked the unity of the Iranian people and its resistance to foreign enemies – the secret of the Islamic Republic’s 40-year survival. In fact, despite ongoing US sanctions and Israel’s hostility, as well as Islamic rival powers such as Saudi Arabia, Iran is today a serious and stable force in the Middle East. Iranian voices proudly point out that the country was foreign-controlled at the moment the Shah was overthrown, notably by American, British and Israeli „advisers“, while forty years later Iran enjoys a significant growth of influence in the region. In Syria, Iran is a major factor as an important ally of the Assad government. In addition, Tehran receives backing from Russia and China; As its integration with the emerging Greater Eurasian economic region continues, Iran’s geopolitical weight will continue to grow in the medium and long term.
The world will have to take into account the voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran. As one of the few voices from Germany, NPD MEP Udo Voigt has sent a greeting message from the European Parliament in Straatsburg to the Iranian embassies in Brussels and Berlin, in which he expresses his solidarity with the „brave Iranian people“ on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Expression. Voigt himself visited Iran in May 2018 as part of an international Palestine conference, where he was able to gain first-hand information about the situation in the country.
